Our history.
A tradition.

Waskönig+Walter was founded by Johann Peter Waskönig in 1873. Over 150 years and four generations later, our company has become what it is today: one of the most state-of-the-art cable plants in Europe.

From hat wire manufacturer to one of the most state-of-the-art cable producers in Europe.

Whether it is medium-voltage cable for a large new housing estate on the outskirts of Amsterdam, or installation cables to be installed in a commercial property in Munich: for more than 150 years, we have been ensuring the perfect connection. More than 550 employees and up to 50 trainees perform exceptional work on a daily basis to produce our quality low, medium and high-voltage cables that are used both at home and abroad.

A future with prospects.

As a family company in its fifth generation we are aware of our special responsibility to successor generations. Dedication to sustainability has therefore been a core element of our company's culture for many years already. Together with our partners and employees, we promote sustainability throughout our value-added chain. We place importance on reducing our CO2 emissions and handling resources carefully – way beyond the legally prescribed levels.
